The Unplanned Journey into Art

Imagine sitting in a cafe one day and feeling an urge to draw someone you see. This spontaneous act led Samalia to a profound realization. “It all happened naturally for me, and yeah, it all started four years ago on an island,” she recalls. When she gifted her drawing to a stranger, the shared joy and connection made her life feel more meaningful. This unplanned journey into art wasn’t a deliberate choice; it happened naturally as she followed her heart. This is a beautiful reminder of the importance of mindfulness and being open to new paths.

Four years ago, Samalia decided to let go of everything that wasn’t true to her. “I stopped doing everything and just listened to myself like, what do I want to do?” she explains. This pivotal moment led her to a path of true self-expression and meaningful connections. Letting go of societal expectations can lead to discovering one’s true self. By embracing the present and living authentically, we open ourselves to new, fulfilling experiences. Have you ever thought about what might happen if you let go of societal expectations and just followed your heart?

Maintaining Authenticity in the Digital Age

In a world obsessed with social media likes and views, Samalia stands out. “First of all, I’m trying always to be present in the moment and listen to my feelings, to my intentions: why am I doing this?” she says. Despite her growing presence on social media, she remains committed to authenticity. She avoids the pressure of performing for likes and stays true to her purpose by taking breaks and creating art from the heart. This approach to living life mindfully ensures that her actions are aligned with her true self. How can you maintain authenticity while using social media?

Through her art, Samalia has touched countless lives. She recounted drawing a baby on a boat and a homeless man in Moscow. “When I’m drawing him, I love him unconditionally. I mean, I love that person unconditionally and when I give the drawing to a person, it’s like a way of me saying that you are loved, you are accepted,” she describes. These moments, filled with love and connection, have not only impacted the subjects of her drawings but also resonated deeply with her audience. Imagine the joy and healing that simple acts of kindness can bring to others. This connection through art is a testament to the power of mindfulness and living in the moment.
